Storymatters in Middlebury, at the  Ilsley Public Library, Community Room, Wednesday February 22nd starting at 4:00 pm. “Storymatters” invites you to a story sharing experience, with the theme of “Awakening.” Tales can be simple or involved; moments of light and laughter or times of shadows and uncertainty. Last Thursday of the month concert in Middlebury, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Thursday February 23rd from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. Erik Johansson of Brattleboro will perform Scandinavian winter songs and accompany himself on a folk harp that he built. Kids try hockey for free in Middlebury, at the  Memorial Sports Center, Saturday February 25th from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm. Middlebury Amateur Hockey Association offers youngsters from age 4 to 9 a free experience to try youth hockey. A limited amount of equipment is available to borrow. MAHA’s top coaches will be on the ice to assist. No previous skating or hockey experience needed.

All you can eat public breakfast in Vergennes, at the Vergennes Masonic Lodge, Sunday February 26th from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. Only $8 for eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, blueberry pancakes, French toast, home fries, waffles, corned beef hash, sausage gravy and biscuits, juice, coffee and tea. Everyone is welcome. Proceeds will support various local community needs and organizations.
