Thomas Rhett shares health update about his vocal issues; resumes his ‘Bring The Bar To You’ tour

Thomas Rhett returned to social media to update fans about his vocal issues that forced him to cancel a recent concert. Rhett was forced to postpone his ‘Bring The Bar To You’ Tour date in Chula Vista, CA, at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre due to “vocal irritation and swelling.”

Rhett shared a video message with fans, delivering the good news that his doctors have cleared him to return to the stage.  Rhett says in the clip: “Hey what’s up everybody, Thomas Rhett here. I just wanted to say thank y’all so much for all the well wishes over the last 10 days. The doctors over at Vanderbilt put me on vocal rest. My cords were pretty dad gum swollen and inflamed and it’s been a week for sure…I think it’s the quietest I’ve been in about a decade.”  He added: “I went back this morning and they checked my cords again and all the inflammation is down. So, I’ve been cleared to go, cleared to sing and so I will see y’all in Tuscaloosa next Thursday. I really look forward to that show, but again I just wanted to hop on here and say thank y’all so much for the love and just for the well-wishes. Glad to be back, glad to be singing again. Hope y’all had a great week and we’ll see you then. Take care.”

Rhett has since returned to the stage, performing Thursday, Sept. 8 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Bring The Bar To You Tour runs through mid-October, featuring special guests Parker McCollum and Conner Smith. Rhett recently announced plans to extend his tour into 2023 with just-announced Canadian dates featuring Jordan Davis and Kameron Marlowe. Tickets are available for purchase, here.
