The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at the Brandon American Legion, on Franklin Street in Brandon, on Monday, June 21, from Noon to 5 PM. All COVID-19 Safety Protocols and Procedures will be in place. The Red Cross continues to urge healthy individuals, especially those with type O blood, to give blood to ensure hospitals can meet patient needs. You can schedule an appointment to give blood by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
As long as blood donors are symptom-free, feeling well and can provide the COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer’s name, there’s no waiting period required after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine currently authorized in the U.S.
