DESCRIPTION:The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 14 in Vergennes will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday October 29th from 2:00pm-3:00pm at the American Legion Post 14 in Vergennes. Trunk or Treat is a safe alternative to Trick or Treating and is done in a coned off area of the parking lot of the American Legion Post #14 in Vergennes. Parents and community members will register to bring their cars and goodies to distribute from their decorated trunk. Families will be lead to the parking area and will begin walking car to car for treats. This is great for people who live out of town and don’t get trick or treaters\, and for anyone with ambulatory issues. It is also great way to promote your business\, civic organization\, or church. It is done in the daylight and children will be home before dark. If you would like to register your vehicle for Trunk or Treat\, please contact Martha DeGraaf at 802-349-0299 or email at marsulli75@gmail.com. Trunk or Treating begins at 2:00PM and ends at 3:00PM. All vehicles must arrive ½ hour before the trick or treating. You are responsible for your own candy or treats.

DESCRIPTION:The Little City Gala is an annual fundraiser put on by the Vergennes Union Elementary School Community Group. \nThis year the Gala will be held at The Eagles Club in Vergennes and will feature DJ Bruce Zeman\, a cash bar\, and an 80’s inspired snack table with iconic foods donated by local restaurants and businesses. There will be a cash only bag raffle with great prizes from local businesses such as Woodchuck Hard Cider\, The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-Op\, Addison County Fair and Field Days\, Shelburne Farms\, ECHO Leahy Center for Lake Champlain and others you wont want to miss. \nThe crowning of the “Little City Royals” will go to two attendees voted as the “Best dressed from the 80’s.” The winners will each receive a gift card to a much loved local restaurant. \nAll proceeds from Gala and raffle ticket sales will directly support VUESCG’s mission: “to provide enrichment and community building activities for VUES.” Money raised will support school activities like: field trips\, the implementation of Four Winds nature based programming\, a book for each student at the Book Fair\, family fun events\, and teacher appreciation activities. \n
