Mt. Abraham UMHS Environmental Action Group members, in partnership with the Bristol Democratic Committee and the Keep Bristol Beautiful Initiative, are presenting an educational forum and discussion about the current state of plastics in our world. Join and learn about the life cycle of plastics and how they travel through our waste system and never go away. There will be discussions on the process of how plastics are made and their intrinsic relationship with fossil fuels, as well as how to get it reused and recycled in the area. Come to learn and understand the long lasting costs and effects of plastic usage. There will also be updates on the current iteration of the Plastic Ban working its way through the Vermont Legislature. Demos, free bags and other products will be available as well!
