While acknowledging that some folks have benefited from traditional abstinence-based peer recovery groups\, they embrace the principles of harm reduction and seek wellbeing. Folks who choose abstinence from certain substances or behaviors are welcome. So are folks who seek to moderate substances or behaviors\, to use substances more safely\, or just to feel better and enjoy their lives. The group respects each person’s right to make decisions about their own wellbeing. They value compassion\, connection\, and taking good care of themselves and others. \nMeeting in-person at Gather in Middlebury on Fridays at 12:30pm.

This holiday event will be held on Saturday\, December 13 from 11 AM to 2 PM\, or until the cookies run out. \nThis social event is open to everyone\, with just a few simple rules. Bring at least 3 dozen homemade cookies. Get a box to fill with a variety of cookies to take home. There is no fee beyond your donation of a tray of at least 3 dozen homemade Christmas cookies. So get out your recipes and contribute to this social event and join in the holiday spirit. The more cookies people contribute\, the more assortment there will be to choose from. \nThere will also be a limited number of craft vendor tables. Vendors looking to rent a table for $20 should email shorehamucc@gmail.com to reserve a spot; tables will be assigned on a first-come\, first served basis. \nMonetary donations toward the Church Building Fund will also be accepted. \n
