Program MiddLingo: Teaching Chinese Language & Culture

January 24, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

If exposing you and your child to other cultures and languages is important to you then make sure to attend simultaneous programs at Lawrence Memorial Library.

Adults and youth will learn about Middlingo, a Chinese language and culture program.  While children of all ages are welcome to join Candy Jiang for Chinese songs and craft activities, a Chinese noodle bowl and other light snacks.  Jiang is a native of Guangzhou in southern China who now resides in Bristol.

Learn more about the program from Joanna Doria and May Poduschnick who grew up speaking both Chinese and English.  Middlingo was sprung out of both of their language skills and successes, and now provides Chinese Language camps and after-school programs in Middlebury and Bristol.  With the assistance of Middlingo, 3-12 year olds explore the language and culture of one of the oldest civilizations in the world, and have fun while doing it!
