SUMMARY:Trunk or Treat & Kids Dance Party
DESCRIPTION:The American Legion Auxiliary 14 in Vergennes will be this year’s host of a Trunk or Treat and Costume Dance Party!  The Costume Karaoke Dance party begins with DJ Amanda Rock and Family at 1 pm and will go until 2 pm.  It will then be followed by the Trunk or Treat in the parking lot from 2-3 pm.  The Trunk or Treat will be a non-traditional alternative for Trick or Treating.  Parents and community members will register to bring their car and goodies to distribute from their decorated trunk.  Kids will be lead to the parking area and will begin going car to car for treats.  This great for people who live out of town and don’t get trick or treaters\, or for anyone with ambulatory issues.  In addition\, it is a great way to promote your business\, civic organization\, or church.  If you would like to register your vehicle to partake in the Trunk or Treat\, please contact Martha DeGraaf at 802.349.0299 or email marsulli75@gmail.com.  All vehicles must arrive half an hour before the trick or treating begins!  All vehicles are responsible for their own candy or treats.  See you there!

DESCRIPTION:The Vergennes Union Elementary School will be hosting its 3rd annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF change collection effort this Halloween.  With so many challenges in the world\, kids often feel that there is little they can do to help affect true change.  Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF helps empower kids to help other kids in a program that makes every penny count.  Funds are used in the U.S. and around the world to help children impacted by famine\, war\, extreme weather\, and more.  Items purchased with donated change include clean drinking water\, medical & educational supplies\, food\, and warm blankets. \nCome join in for Halloween fun that will help make a difference in the world and bond with the community.  All you need to do is keep a little bowl of spare change next to your candy bowl on Halloween night (or in your trunk at the Legion’s Trunk-or-Treat event prior to Halloween).  Kids with orange UNICEF collection boxes will ask for spare change donations along with their Halloween treats.
