Educating participants on the skills necessary to act fast should they be in a situation that requires it\, is\nthe purpose of STOP THE BLEED training.\n\nThe STOP THE BLEED campaign was initiated by a federal interagency workgroup convened by the National Security Council Staff\, The White House. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Memorial Day Parade theme is “Honoring & Remembering All Who Served”. The parade will be held on Monday\, May 29th at 11:00am. Following the parade\, a ceremony honoring our service men and women will be held in the park. The parade marshal this year is Karlene Devine. A chicken barbeque will be held at American Legion Post #14 from 12:00 noon until they are sold out. All groups and individuals wanting to be in the parade\, please complete forms on the link below or stop by American Legion Post #14\, located at 100 Armory Lane\, Vergennes\, Vermont for a paper copy. Registrations must be received by May 19\, 2023. Once your registration form has been submitted\, you will get a confirmation reply and a list of parade rules and procedures containing arrival times\, line up procedures and other important information. \nFor more information or questions\, please email Martha DeGraaf at marsulli75@gmail.com. \nHosting since 1946\, the parade honors all the men and women who have served our country during times of conflict. The American Legion Post #14 will host its annual chicken BBQ following the parade at 100 Armory Lane in Vergennes.

DESCRIPTION:Are you passionate about sustainability and reducing waste? Do you love attending concerts\, fairs\, and events? You could be a Waste Warrior! \nThe Addison County Solid Waste Management District is restarting the Waste Warrior Program this Spring! Waste Warriors are volunteer educators trained to help event attendees properly sort their recycling\, compost\, and trash. Our first free training sessions of the year will be on June 6 from 12:00 pm-12:45 pm and 5:30 pm-6:15 pm. Once you register and complete one training\, you can join us at concerts\, fairs\, and other community events as an official Waste Warrior! Meet other passionate volunteers\, learn how to keep recycling and food scraps out of the landfill\, and practice educational skills.
