NORTHFIELD, Vt. (WCAX) – Norwich University has found its candidate president just days after former president Mark Anarumo stepped down amid allegations of violating school policies.
The Norwich University Board of Trustees late Wednesday announced that Retired Marine Lieutenant General John Broadmeadow is poised to take the job as the school’s 25th president. Broadmeadow, an ‘83 grad from Norwich, is the most senior-ranking U.S. Marine Corps officer to have graduated from Norwich.
Broadmeadow will participate in a series of town halls this week at Norwich with students and staff and the board will make a final decision after reflecting on that feedback.
