NEWPORT, Vt. (WCAX) – Police say a Newport man faces charges of kidnapping following an armed incident Wednesday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. at a house on Third Street. Newport Police say David Perry, 41, held multiple people at gunpoint and then abducted some of them when he took off in his truck. Officers later located the truck on Lake Road and conducted a “high-risk traffic stop.”
Perry was arrested and faces charges including kidnapping, unlawful restraint, and reckless endangerment.
