BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Burlington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating after a fire Saturday afternoon.
The Burlington Fire Department responded to a structure fire behind 198 Pearl St.
Multiple crews, including fire departments from surrounding cities and towns, ended up responding as onlookers reported seeing people in the apartment prior to the fire.
Crews attacked the flames from the rear of the building, and rapidly searched the third floor prior to control of the fire. Crews did not find any victims.
Fire damage was limited to the top floor rear and roof.
Building owners Hinsdale Properties helped work with tenants on housing.
