Vt. Fish & Wildlife: no fires, swimming at fishing access areas

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife is asking the public to reel in behavior at fishing access areas.

As summer starts and anglers head out to their favorite spots, officials are reminding people that you cannot swim or have open fires at access areas. Both of which cause safety concerns for wildlife, boaters, and other anglers.

There are a number of other prohibited activities at the state’s 203 fishing spots.

You can find a list of rules and regulations here.
