BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – An exciting milestone to celebrate on Friday– we’re marking the 70th anniversary of “Across the Fence.”
“Across the Fence” is the only program of its kind in the United States. It’s produced by the UVM Extension and WCAX and airs on WCAX.
From Tony Adams to Judy Simpson and all hosts in between, the program has taken on many looks over the last seven decades.
Current producer Keith Silva explained how the show’s Vermont theme lends to the workflow.
“One of the easiest things about my job is that it’s about Vermont. So anything and everything that happens in this state happens with the university or with Extension– that’s all grist for the mill,” Silva said.
“Across the Fence” is on WCAX weekdays following the Noon News.
