NY State Police respond to incident in Keeseville; Nearby school placed on ‘lockout’

KEESEVILLE, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York authorities responded Friday morning to an incident at a home in Keeseville and placed a nearby school on “lockout” notice.

New York State Police responded to the home at 2091 Route 22. They provided no immediate details.

The single-family home was sealed off with crime tape, and upwards of 10 cruisers and a crime scene van were on site. Investigators could be seen looking through a gray bin outside.

Students at Keeseville Elementary in New York were under a “lockout” notice. School officials say it was because of the ongoing investigation at the home, which is about 1.5 miles north of the school. They say no students, staff, or facilities are in danger. They say that classes are continuing as usual, but entry to the school is limited.

WCAX has a crew on scene and will update this developing story.
