Italian acrobats stun the Montpelier sky

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – eVenti Verticali acrobats took their talents to the Montpelier sky this weekend.

eVenti Verticali is an artistic ensemble from the province of Sassari, Italy. They do performances worldwide and decided to kick off their USA tour in Montpelier at Vermont’s State House lawn. This free performance took place Saturday and Sunday at noon.

Their ’CUBO’ performance had them flying nearly 200 feet above the ground. This brought in hundreds of people to watch and the Flynn Theatre is hoping it brings more people to their theatre tonight for more acrobatics.

Stephanie Butryn of Jericho came with her family to see the show, and they said they loved it.

“Honestly I was trying to take it all in as someone who rock climbs I was watching them kind of belay and use the ropes but I mean the ability to be able to maneuver and the way that they were maneuvering while also belaying themselves and working with the ropes was amazing.”

eVenti is heading to Rochester, New York for their next performance.
