Burlington’s Oktoberfest is back this year

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Oktoberfest Vermont is back this year with a new look after Triple E shut down the fun last summer.

The festival opens on Friday in the South End Get Down space on Pine Street after eight years on the Burlington Waterfront.

The smaller space means fewer tickets to go around, so they’ve been halved at 1,000 tickets per night. However, that also means they’re cheaper — $40, instead of $65 per ticket.

Organizers, who also own South End Get Down and Staple the Pinery, say the shift to Pine Street was a smooth transition. They say there’s more European beer on tap this year, plus lots of games, music, and food.

Oktoberfest is 21+. It kicks off tonight at 5:30 and ends at 9:00 Saturday night.
