ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Police in St. Albans say they are looking for whomever intentionally put poison out for a family’s dog to find and eat.
St. Albans resident Erin Langevin says around 7:30 Saturday morning, while her dog was playing in their fenced in backyard, they found what appeared to be large balls of fresh ground beef containing pellets of rat poison.
The family rushed the dog to the vet after inducing vomiting.
They discovered two additional balls with rat poison.
Langevin says the dog returned to BEVS after previously being sent home, for further care.
