“No Kings” protests set to take place across our region

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Big crowds of protesters are expected Saturday in thousands of places around the U.S. In opposition to what some are calling increasingly authoritarian practices by the trump administration.

Millions will likely hit the streets in a showing against the president amid an ongoing government shutdown, ICE arrests, and the deployment of national guard troops to several Democrat-run cities around the U.S.

In our region, about 50 protests are scheduled in Vermont, 7 in New York’s North Country, and around 13 in New Hampshire’s Upper Valley.

It’s the second “No Kings” protest and the third mass movement against the administration this year,
