PITTSFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermonters gathered at the Casella Station for the annual Wheels for Warmth program, purchasing tires while supporting emergency heating assistance for vulnerable residents.
The program provides funding for the Warmth Support Program, which offers emergency heating assistance to Vermonters in need.
Gov. Phil Scott, who founded the program 20 years ago, attended the event to provide support.
Over two decades, Wheels for Warmth has raised more than $700,000 and sold approximately 27,000 tires to families across Vermont.
