WASHINTGON (WCAX) – Several democratic lawmakers now say they’ve been targeted by bomb threats after appearing in a video that urged troops to disobey illegal orders.
That includes New Hampshire representative Maggie Goodlander.
A spokesperson for Goodlander, as well as others for representatives Jason Crow, Chrissy Houlahan, and Chris Deluzio, say their respective district offices were targeted by a bomb threat.
A spokesperson for Senator Elissa Slotkin says her home also received a threat.
They’re 5 of the 6 lawmakers who released a video urging US troops to disobey illegal orders that might be issued by the Trump administration.
President Trump described the video as “seditious behavior – punishable by death.”
“The president of the United States, our commander in chief, is the most powerful person in the world, and when he says something, people listen, and his words have real-world consequences for real people,” said Goodlander.
Goodlander went on to say that rhetoric like Trump’s is just a distraction from the real issues harming Americans, like the cost of health care.
