WHEELOCK, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police are investigating a burglary at the Wheelock Village Store that occurred early Friday morning.
Police received a report of the burglary at approximately 5:32 a.m. on Dec. 13. Troopers found the front door had been broken into using a crowbar, with merchandise and cash missing from the store.
Security footage shows an unknown individual wearing all black clothing forced entry into the store at approximately 2:56 a.m. The same person exited the store at approximately 3:20 a.m. and fled on foot.
Police have released images of the suspect and are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks at 802-748-3111 or submit an anonymous tip at vsp.vermont.gov/tipsubmit.
The incident is being investigated as burglary, unlawful mischief and grand larceny.
