Vermont State Police has interviewed Ludlow’s police chief after New Year’s Day shooting

LUDLOW, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police say they’ve interviewed Ludlow’s police chief following the officer-involved shooting on New Year’s Day.

Investigators say Chief Jeffrey Warfle shot 18-year-old Jamie Gomez after refusing to follow commands to drop a knife during a disturbance call.

Gomez remains hospitalized.
