BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont District 45 Lions Clubs organized an event bringing together volunteers from across the region to pack 30,000 meals for local families in need.
Tables were lined with ingredients, scales, sealers and boxes as volunteers worked together to assemble the meals.
This year Vermont Lions donated 13,516 meals to the Vermont Food Bank. Lions clubs also purchased meals to be donated to their own local food shelves.
