ALBANY, N.Y. (WCAX) – New York Governor Kathy Hochul will deliver her State of the State Address on Tuesday afternoon.

In the speech, Hochul said she plans to push for universal child care for children under five years of age across New York.
Other initiatives include legislation requiring federal immigration officials to obtain judicial warrants before conducting operations at “sensitive locations,” including schools, hospitals, and houses of worship.
She has also said she wants to strengthen New York’s gun laws by cracking down on 3D-printed and illegal firearms.
Additional legislation would be aimed at helping protect children from online predators, scammers, and harmful AI chatbots integrated on online platforms, and a statewide expansion of Teen Mental Health First Aid training.
