PITTSFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – With the cold stretch we’re getting into, you may be looking for something or someone to warm your heart. How about a Pet with Potential from the Rutland County Humane Society?
Miller is a 4-year-old lab-pit bull mix with a big personality and even bigger dance moves. Shelter staffers call him “tippy tap” because he does a happy little dance when he gets excited. They describe him as goofy, strong and full of energy. He is currently working on his boundaries and learning the art of patience. Staffers say he didn’t do well with other dogs in the past, but could do well with a playful dog if the setting is right.
Binx is a 6-year-old kitty who staffers say has mastered the art of balancing play and cuddle time. She’s described as social and affectionate. She has feline leukemia, which means her immune system needs extra care. She can live with other cats if they share her condition. She’ll thrive in a low-stress, calm, indoor-only environment.
Reese’s is a 6-month-old guinea pig who staffers say has a gentle heart and curious spirit. They say he will blossom when he feels safe and understood. He got pushed around by older pigs in the past, so staffers think he would do best with a friend closer to his age and nature.
