BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – As temperatures dip this weekend, emergency cold weather shelters will open across Vermont.
Burlington’s shelter opens at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Miller Center at 130 Gosse Court. No preregistration is required and pets are allowed.
In addition to Burlington, several cities and towns are opening overnight shelters this weekend, including St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Bennington, NEKCA in Newport, Rutland City Library, Montpelier Teen Center and First Methodist Church in Brattleboro.
