SARANAC LAKE, N.Y. (WCAX) – The ice palace is coming together for this year’s Saranac Lake Winter Carnival.
Video taken on Friday by Adirondack Drone shows the progress on the structure.
Volunteers have been putting the palace together for just over two weeks. They harvest the ice from Lake Flower for one of the nation’s oldest winter carnivals, dating back as far as 1897.
The palace opens to the public on Saturday.
