Pets with Potential: Momy, Missie and Mufassa

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – Are you looking for a furry friend to cuddle up with in this cold weather? Franklin County Animal Rescue has you covered. Here are a few of the pets waiting there for their forever homes.

Momy is a 4-year-old kitty who came to the shelter with her daughter, Peewee, who is also up for adoption. Shelter staffers say Momy is a very sweet girl who loves human interaction. They say she has a lot of love to give.

Missie is a 9.5-year-old terrier mix who staffers call friendly and delightful. This weekend marks her 200th day at the shelter. Despite Missie’s age, staffers say she has plenty of playfulness in her and loves to make new friends. She is not a big fan of car rides, though, so she prefers to be a homebody. She’s done well with other dogs, cats and kids in the past.

Mufassa is a nearly 9-year-old kitty who is new to the shelter. Staffers say at first he seems shy, but once comfortable, he’s a sweet, gentle boy who loves head and neck scratches. He’ll do best in a calm home with a loving, patient family.
