MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – A new poll shows Vermont Gov. Phil Scott is once again America’s most popular governor.
According to Morning Consult, a data intelligence firm, the Republican Scott has a 74% approval rating from voters. The poll shows only 19% of Vermonters disapprove of the governor. This is the 14th consecutive quarter Scott has held onto the title as America’s most popular governor in the poll.
In nearby New Hampshire, Republican Gov. Kelly Ayotte clocked in with a 56% approval rating.
And Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul improved her standing with New York voters, with a 54% approval rating, a record high for her since she has been in office.
On the low end of the scale, Iowa Republican Kim Reynolds and Alaska Republican Michael Dunleavy are the country’s least popular governors. They both have 49% disapproval ratings.
