BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police are conducting an active investigation near the federal courthouse in downtown Burlington.
Burlington and UVM police cars were parked outside the courthouse, blocking Elmwood Ave. Officers were seen leaving a nearby apartment building, some with guns drawn.
Police did not comment about the nature of the investigation, other than to say the scene is active. It is unknown at this time why police are in the area.
