WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (WCAX) – A beloved caretaker of the White River Junction Amtrak station died suddenly this week.
Local journalist Eric Francis says Chris McKinley, 68, collapsed on his way to the station Thursday morning.
McKinley helped passengers on and off the Amtrak Vermonter for more than three decades. Locals say he was a fixture of the village and will be profoundly missed.
