This Day in History: First woman appointed as Vt. district judge

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – In 1984, Vermont’s first female judge was sworn in on this day in history.

Linda Levitt was the youngest judge at the time, at age 35. She served for 30 years on the bench, and retired in 2014.
