ESSEX, Vt. (WCAX) – Essex police say the car and driver involved in a hit-and-run have been identified. No other information has been released. Police say it is still an active investigation.
Around 8 p.m. Friday, Essex Police were called to I-289, around mile marker 8. When they got there, there was a 31-year-old man with leg injuries. He was taken to the hospital.
Investigators say he had some mechanical troubles and was pulled off to the side of the road and outside of his car, speaking with someone who had stopped to help, when another car hit him as it passed. The driver did not stop.
The car involved is believed to be a gray or silver 2013 Volvo S60.
