On March 7, 1935, aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart addressed lawmakers about the future of air travel. She’s seen in this picture with Governor Charles Smith. She visited Vermont many times before her death in 1937, visiting the Burlington International Airport and landing in St. Albans and White River Junction.
