Come join the Middlebury Shape Note Singers for Shape-Note or Sacred Harp singing at the Mitchell Green Lounge on the top floor of the McCullough Student Center. The center is located on Old Chapel Road in Middlebury College. Parking is available on Old Chapel Road and adjacent parking lots. Enter from Rte. 125/College St. or Rte. 30/S. Main St.
Shape-Note Singing is four part, a cappella, social and spiritual music. The group sings from the Sacred Harp Song Book but there are loaner books available to newcomers. Any and all are welcome to join the group where the emphasis remains on community and participation.
