The Middlebury Community Players Company Be will present “Don’t Be Scared, It’s Only Shaw!” — an evening of three highly amusing one-act plays by George Bernard Shaw. Shaw aims his wit at blustering officials, pompous husbands, and restless wives. Director Cheryl Faraone, Professor Emerita of Theatre at Middlebury College, has assembled a talented cast of area actors, including Tomás Browne, Kevin Commins, Matthew Cox, Leigh Guptill, Diana Hill, Annie Moore-Cox, and Heather Wilson. Peter Kristoph is stage managing and Dora Greven is producing.
The shows will run from Thursday August 21 to Sunday, August 24 at the ART Black Box Theater at the Hannaford Career Center, 51 Charles Street, Middlebury (next door to Middlebury Union High School). The Thursday through Saturday shows will be at 7:30 pm and at 2:00 pm on Sunday. It’s open seating and all seats are $10. Cash or check only please.
