JAY, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State police is investigating after they say their crews found human remains during a missing persons investigation on Thursday.
We still don’t know who died or how they died, but we do know it came after a report of a migrant woman who went missing in January while trying to cross the border from Vermont into Canada.
That’s according to state police. They also say she was with a group, but got separated.
Border Patrol recently found her belongings in the area, leading state police to find the body this week.
