Suspect identified in Fairfax shooting

FAIRFAX, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont State Police identified the suspect they arrested in connection with the shooting that injured two in Fairfax early Friday morning.

Timothy Bickings Jr., 44, of Fairfax, faces two counts of attempted first-degree murder, as well as aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment charges.

Bickings was arrested and brought to the Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans Town and is being held without bail. His arraignment is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on December 22.

Vermont State police say the shooting occurred during a domestic dispute and that all parties involved knew each other.

They say the victims, a man and a woman, were taken to Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans and then transferred to the UVM Medical Center for treatment.
