CONCORD, N.H. (WCAX) – New Hampshire state officials are warning SNAP benefit recipients about a phone scam targeting EBT cardholders.
They say recipients may get an automated phone call claiming there is a problem with their cash benefits. The caller asks for the EBT card number and PIN.
Scammers then use that information to withdraw cash from ATMs.
Officials said recipients should never share any EBT information, and if they get this call, hang up immediately.
