Hartland, Vt. (WCAX) – On this day in history, nurse Barbara Agnew disappeared while returning from a day of skiing, launching an investigation that remains unsolved.
Agnew’s car was discovered at the I-91 rest area in White River Junction with blood on the steering wheel. Her body was later found in the woods in Hartland.
Agnew’s killer was never caught. Investigators wondered if her death was linked to the work of an unknown serial killer.
