BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – The Burlington Department of Public Works has announced a winter parking ban for Sunday and Monday, due to forecasts calling for widespread snow.
The first night of the ban will allow plows to clear streets safely, while the second night will enable cleanup and snow removal before conditions freeze in place.
Crews, fleet technicians, and parking enforcement agents will respond throughout the storm.
The ban will be in place from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. each day, except for downtown Burlington, where parking will be banned from midnight to 6 a.m. each day.
Free parking is available all day Sunday and Monday in city garages. Drivers must move vehicles by Tuesday at 9 a.m. to avoid fees.
