BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – This weekend’s Penguin Plunge has been postponed because of expected extreme cold.
Plungers were set to take to Lake Champlain on Saturday. But with temperatures expected to be in the single digits and below-zero wind chill, organizers decided to shift the event to March 14th.
Organizers said that it also gives participants more time to fundraise for the Special Olympics.
