HARTFORD, Vt. (WCAX) – A Connecticut man was arrested on Interstate 91 in Vermont on Friday after running away from a crash that ended a police chase.
Police said it started just before 12:30 a.m. in Hartford, Vermont, when officers tried to pull over a car driving the wrong way on Sykes Mountain Avenue. But they said the driver, Bradley DeJesus, 29, of Hamden, Connecticut, sped away.
Officers chased him until he crashed into a snowbank on Route 5. Police said he then got out and ran away. He was later captured on foot on the interstate.
Investigators found there was an arrest warrant out for DeJesus in Connecticut. He now also faces charges in Vermont, including grossly negligent operation and attempting to elude police. He was held on $150,000 bail.
