BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Many Vermonters have been decorated with medals at the winter Olympics, but did you see how many riders were decked out with Vermont’s Burton snowboards?
There were so many that WCAX and Burton couldn’t count! All of them were made here in the Green Mountain State at the Craig Prototype Facility. Each board has a quote from founder Jake Burton Carpenter written in the bindings.
Burton says they’re stoked to see athletes use their boards in those life-changing and record-breaking moments.
“I think any company would be excited to see their product at the Olympics. Those are the elite riders of the world. These guys are above and beyond anybody, doing things that are just simply unprecedented these days, so if you see your board at the Olympics, I think it’s a testament of quality and confidence in the product that they’re on,” said Matt “Jags” Jagemann of Burton.
The U.S. has won two medals in Olympic snowboarding during the 2026 Winter Olympics.
