Powerful Nor’easter to hit the East Coast Sunday night and Monday. Our region will be barely clipped by it, but stay tuned for updates.

BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – A powerful Nor’easter is now expected to slam the New England Coast from Sunday night into Monday evening. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for the coast of Massachusetts into Maryland, with 1 to 2 feet of snow and wind gusts up to 60 mph.

For our region, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Bennington and Windham counties from Sunday afternoon to Monday evening. If you live in these counties, there’s the possibility of 5 to 10 inches of snow and wind gusts to 40 mph.

A slight shift to the west (or east) will make a big difference in how much snow and wind we’ll get. For now, most of our region will miss out on the storm, with northern and even central sections getting little to even no snow. We’ll keep a watchful eye on this storm as we go through the rest of the weekend.
