This Day in History: UVM’s first NCAA ski championship

STOWE, Vt. (WCAX) – UVM claimed it’s first national skiing championship, on this day in history.

Competing at Stowe and Lake Placid, the Catamounts eased to a 20 point margin of victory over Utah in 1980. It ended a streak of eight straight championships for the University of Colorado. This was the first of six ski championships for UVM.
