PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) – President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate for New York’s 21st congressional district made his stop in Plattsburgh on Wednesday night.
Republican businessman Anthony Constantino held his campaign event at Butcher Block to a room full of supporters.
Constantino discussed his reasons for getting into the race, as well as where he stands on issues like gun rights, immigration, and manufacturing.
He says he’s a staunch ally of President Trump and promises to support his agenda in Congress if elected.
“I am going to Congress to support his agenda every chance I get. I want him to have as successful of a presidency as possible. I want to help elect as many republicans as possible. I want to win this seat for me. People are talking about what is going to happen to the house in 2026. If I am your representative, I am going to do everything I can to win this seat and to help us win other seats, too. So that going to congress and the republican party has control of the House,” said Constantino.
Constantino will square off against his republican challenger, state lawmaker Robert Smullen, at the primary in late June.
