After nearly a decade of work, the Mount Independence Coalition is proud to announce the publication of Strong Ground: Mount Independence and the American Revolution. To celebrate the publication of this 112-page, full-color and richly illustrated history of our favorite piece of Vermont, the Coalition is holding a gala launch party on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at the Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell, Vermont. The event starts at 12:30 p.m.
The party features guest speakers, the music of Atlantic Crossing, and refreshments. If it is a nice day, bring your chairs or blankets for an outside event. If it rains, we’ll be in the auditorium. The program is included with regular admission ($5.00 for adults and free for children under 15). Copies of the book are available for purchase at the site.
