Middlebury scored five-straight goals, including three in the second period, as the Panthers pulled away from visiting Tufts for a 6-2 NESCAC triumph on Saturday. Middlebury (4-2-0, 3-1-0) continues conference play Friday at 7:00 p.m. hosting Hamilton, while the Jumbos (3-4-0, 1-3-0) are home at the same time against Bowdoin.

Both teams got on the scoreboard in the opening period, with the Jumbos striking first. Ross Delabruere directed a shot on goal from the left side that Clay Berger poked past Panther goalie Adam Wisco with 3:34 expired. Middlebury countered with 6:53 showing on the clock, as Michael Fahie centered
